Blending For Bhava: The Science of Aromatherapy
“Bhava” refers to a mood, vibe or feeling state, which is an important piece of a Teacher’s class or workshop planning. If you seek to balance, decrease or enhance any particular feeling state in your classes, essential oils can be an additional and effective way to do just that by engaging your sense of smell, which is usually less engaged than sight and sound in today's classes.
In this workshop we’ll explore the science of scent and our brain and how it impacts our mental state as well as learn which oils and blends have the greatest impact on different bhavas to enhance your sequencing and the ambiance you create for a transformative experience. You’ll leave with the knowledge, resources, a gift from Karina and some tools to start making essential oils a part of your classes to enhance the transformative effects of yoga asana on our entire being!

About your guide:
Karina Mackenzie is the founder of Chop Wood Carry Baby, a business born from her love of sharing plant-based power to augment and protect personal health. While her professional background is rooted in event and media production, it was on back-to-back Mat Leave when Karina began learning first-hand how essential oils can empower a person to take charge of their health. The positive results she experienced personally propelled her to make introductory kits for friends and loved ones, which then blossomed more fully into the Chop Wood Carry Baby brand. While still maintaining her current role as Director of Experience for travel impact collective, Journey, she also teaches essential oil workshops across North America as part of Wanderlust's natural health programming.
